The Gillard House
Beach House. 2019
Renovated + Designed + Furnished.

A Realtor called and asked to meet with her new client to estimate a renovation vs a new construction needing furnishing. The client was provided with an outline of the pros and cons of each scenario. They picked renovation and we began the process of getting to know their needs in the house and style. I asked two contractors for quotes and started the process for estimates. I did all the leg work and communicated with contractors throughout the entire project. The Gillard's came by 1 time in 4 months at the demo stage - and then again the night they moved in. The family of four was speechless at what had been done in the last 4 months, just in time for memorial day weekend. Closets were removed in the foyer, a new bathroom was installed by shortening the master and baby room - all while keeping the integrity of the rooms. In the kitchen, two existing windows were removed and a beam was raised between living room and kitchen dining room. Because so many memories are made with food, we recessed the refrigerator and created a pantry behind the fridge by borrowing some bedroom space.

A note from our client, The Gillard Family
Weetzie completely transformed our summer fixer upper into our dream beach home! As a busy family with four small children, she was beyond accommodating to make the home renovation process as simple for us as possible. This even included entertaining our children while we picked out tile and furniture! Weetzie invested the time to get to know our family’s personality and carefully incorporated design details that fit our family. She acted not only as an interior designer, but a complete project manager to ensure all elements of our home renovation were complete. We are beyond thrilled with our new home and recommend Weetzie to others! She is the best!
