I designed this clients home at the beach the prior year, so when they called about the 7000 square foot estate I was eager to go see it. They asked me come view the new property and advise how quickly I could renovate this house, as they would need to move their family in within two months. I outlined the vision and tee'd up my contractors to work day, night, and weekends to meet their requested timeline. The before pictures tell the whole story of the renovation. Throughout the first floor we replaced the brazilian cherry wood with a beautiful washed white pine. The wallpaper was removed, along with the all the furnishings. We added a bathroom, and took some area from the master closet and the office to make another bedroom with its own bathroom for one of the four children. Moldings were added on the three story walls in the foyer and up the center staircase. The fireplace exterior was redesigned. The kitchen was updated with new appliances, countertops and a redesign of the island. The light fixtures throughout the house are intentionally chosen to add a unique element to the house. The pendant lights and hardware elevated the kitchen and were used to create a focal point. The front door was made custom and painted to match the floors. Although the team worked tirelessly to completed the project in a two month period so that the family could move in, the end result was exquisite.
